cxOfficial sources conflict
The official FAQ fixes the contracts, 1:5.5 indefinite SYN conversion and 1,646,590,000-token plan, but describes agent gas as both future and current. Verified code also retains governance and minter roles whose current holders and limits were not resolved here; no legal revenue, redemption, or ownership right was established.
What is Cortex?
Cortex is a live AI and trading-agent platform whose documentation calls Cortex Protocol the parent organization for both Cortex and Synapse products. CX uses the same EVM address, 0x000000000000012DeF132E61759048bE5b5C6033, on seven listed EVM chains and a separate Solana mint.
What problem does Cortex solve?
The migration from SYN to CX did not finish on the original February 2026 target because exchanges and wallets had not announced support. The current FAQ keeps two-way conversion open indefinitely at 1 SYN = 5.5 CX, while SYN remains the main liquid exchange pair.
How does Cortex work?
Official material assigns CX staking for permissionless agent deployment and governance over Cortex and Synapse. The same FAQ first calls agent gas a future use but later states it as current utility, so CoinYQ does not mark it live. It gives a 1,646,590,000 total supply and planned 4.9% annual inflation over four years. Verified code exposes GOVERNANCE_ROLE and MINTER_ROLE, including minting, a pre-transfer allowlist and allocation burning; current role holders and cross-chain aggregate supply controls require live on-chain review.
Key facts
- SYN and CX remain indefinitely convertible both ways at a fixed 1 SYN = 5.5 CX.
- The FAQ lists one shared EVM address across seven chains and Solana mint CortexFv3fRcLKTgACr7aLqckGh5eP7TP3z9JHoKqMc6.
- Official tokenomics state 1,646,590,000 CX and 4.9% annual inflation over four years.
- Verified CX code contains governance and minter roles; reviewed public material does not establish equity, profit sharing, redemption, or ownership rights.

Frequently asked questions
Can SYN still be converted to CX?
Yes. Cortex says conversion remains available indefinitely in both directions at 1 SYN = 5.5 CX.
Is CX already used as agent gas?
The current FAQ uses both future and present wording, so live agent-gas use is not treated as settled.
Can CX be minted?
Verified code includes a MINTER_ROLE; the current holders, limits, and aggregate cross-chain operation need on-chain verification.
