BRLV gives approved holders a reserve claim while administrators keep the token switches

BRLV’s strongest promise lives in a legal document, not in its price feed: an approved holder can seek one real from a sovereign-bond reserve structure. Its hardest boundary lives there too—an unapproved wallet receives no contract under the public terms, even though the token can circulate on two chains.

One ticker names two chain-specific instruments

The whitepaper lists Base contract 0xd2047ebdb205Ee6862b69ae9fB3501652cC97d36 and Ethereum contract 0xd7Ca0e2C36d647446b782D1b72308E598373E2F5. The first reports High Velocity BRLY and held 373,841,758.352829905157127293 units; the second reports Bridged BRLV and held 24.5 on the review date.

This distinction excludes other BRL tokens with the same currency theme. It also corrects an official attestation error: the report calls its network Base while linking the Ethereum address.

BRLV does not rebase. Underneath it, BRLY adjusts with a threshold tied to 97% of CDI when collateral checks pass. Reserve accrual belongs to the structure; qualifying users may receive separate rewards, but ordinary BRLV carries no right to bond income.

The reserve report proves a ratio and exposes a reconciliation gap

The 31 August 2026 Fact Finance report states R$378,063,743 tokens against R$380,315,618.44 reserves, a R$2,251,875.44 excess and 100.60% ratio. It lists Brazilian Treasury bonds, Treasury ETFs and R$60.21 cash.

This is useful dated evidence, but the table replaces financial-institution names with dashes. It does not publish account identifiers, SELIC/B3 lien records or a token-by-chain reconciliation, and its contract link is mislabeled. “Audit” on the website should therefore be read as Crown’s description of a third-party attestation, not a full financial-statement audit.

The reserve mandate still carries Brazilian sovereign, interest-rate, valuation, custodian and operational risk. One BRLV targets one nominal real; it does not preserve foreign-currency purchasing power.

Residence decides which Crown company owes issuance

The 27 April 2026 terms divide issuance by tax residence. Crown BR issues to Brazilian residents; Crown (BVI) Ltd. issues to nonresidents. Crown BR remains the custodian and intermediary. The applicable subscription record tells each user which entity issued their balance.

Crown says it is applying for BCB authorization as a virtual-asset broker and operates under a transitional regime. That is a current operating claim, not completed authorization.

Only an approved user in good standing can use subscription and redemption services. The terms say they create no contract with an unapproved person. Secondary-market possession and Crown’s contractual redemption right are therefore not automatically identical.

The holder claim has a named enforcement path and conditions

Krona Two S.à.r.l., a Luxembourg SPV, is the guarantor holding Brazilian reserve accounts. The terms name Banco Genial as reserve custodian, Fireblocks as token custodian and Vórtx Serviços Fiduciários Ltda. as security agent and fiduciary holder of liens for BRLV holders under the stated structure.

A valid standard redemption left unprocessed beyond its applicable deadline, without a recognized justified or regulatory cause, can constitute default. If that default remains uncured for fifteen business days, reserve enforcement can become available; the terms require verification by competent counsel rather than treating this redemption-default event as automatic. Users submit identity, wallet and ownership evidence. If Crown is unable or insolvent, they may contact Vórtx and also notify the guarantor.

The claim is limited to matching reserve assets. It excludes Crown equity, intellectual property, reserve yield, lost keys, uncovered market loss, reward balances and noncovered products. BRLV has no FGC deposit insurance.

Privileged controls sit between a balance and redemption

The Base address is a UUPS proxy whose review-date implementation was 0x1750731729b27cfd00ea55bc61e9dcfade2273f3. Verified code assigns separate minter, burner, pause, claim, upgrade and default-admin roles. A burner can destroy tokens from a named address; pause stops all movements; BRLV transfers also reject addresses blocked in underlying BRLY.

An upgrade role can replace that logic without changing the token address. The issuer-attestor model also manages chain supply rather than using a permissionless bridge. Public holder balances therefore depend on Crown’s operational controls as well as reserve assets.

Primary minting takes BRL and wraps BRLY; primary redemption burns the underlying tokens and targets BRL settlement. Instant service is conditional. Standard fees are referenced to a table or pre-trade quote, but the legal terms do not freeze a numeric fee—an important cost disclosure boundary.

What is Crown BRLV?

Crown BRLV is an 18-decimal Brazilian-real stablecoin on Base (0xd2047ebdb205Ee6862b69ae9fB3501652cC97d36) and Ethereum (0xd7Ca0e2C36d647446b782D1b72308E598373E2F5). The Base wrapper calls itself High Velocity BRLY; the Ethereum representation calls itself Bridged BRLV. On 5 September 2026 their live supplies were 373,841,758.352829905157127293 and 24.5 respectively.

BRLV is the fixed-balance wrapper around rebasing infrastructure token BRLY. Crown says cash and Brazilian sovereign-debt reserves support BRLY, while BRLV diverts reserve accrual into a separate rewards system rather than rebasing holder balances.

What problem does Crown BRLV solve?

A stable price, reserve balance and legal claim answer different questions. Crown’s terms give approved users a primary R$1 redemption route and a security-agent claim, but explicitly deny contractual services to an unapproved holder. A token bought elsewhere may therefore travel farther than the onboarding-dependent contract behind it.

Transparency also needs reconciliation. The August attestation reports 100.60% backing, yet withholds custodian names and labels an Ethereum-address link as Base. It supports a point-in-time reserve assertion, not independent proof of every account, lien or chain balance.

How does Crown BRLV work?

Brazilian tax residents receive issuance from Crown BR; nonresidents from Crown (BVI) Ltd. Crown BR intermediates and custodies. Deposited BRL becomes BRLY, BRLY is wrapped into BRLV, and redemption reverses the path before BRL settlement. Instant T+0 depends on limits and liquidity; standard settlement targets T+1 to T+3 and may carry a quoted fee.

Krona Two S.à.r.l. holds reserve accounts as guarantor, and Vórtx acts as security agent under a Brazilian fiduciary assignment. Onchain, role holders can mint or burn named accounts, pause all transfers, inherit BRLY blocklisting and replace the Base implementation.

Key facts

  • Official contracts: Base 0xd2047ebdb205Ee6862b69ae9fB3501652cC97d36; Ethereum 0xd7Ca0e2C36d647446b782D1b72308E598373E2F5; both use 18 decimals.
  • Live 2026-09-05 supply: 373,841,758.352829905157127293 BRLV on Base and 24.5 BRLV on Ethereum.
  • Base token name is High Velocity BRLY; Ethereum token name is Bridged BRLV; both use symbol BRLV.
  • The April 27, 2026 terms call Crown BR “Crown Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda.”; the privacy notice uses “Crown Sociedade Prestadora de Ativos Virtuais Ltda.” with CNPJ 59.386.340/0001-45. The document names differ, so the applicable subscription record matters.
  • Crown BR remains custodian and intermediary; it says its BCB broker authorization is still in process under the transitional regime.
  • Krona Two S.à.r.l. is guarantor/SPV; Vórtx is security agent; the terms name Banco Genial for reserve custody and Fireblocks for token custody.
  • Reserves include segregated cash and eligible BRL instruments such as LFTs and Tesouro Selic. The terms define those instruments by direct or indirect exposure of at least 95% to Brazilian sovereign credit; that definition should not be recast as a fresh measurement of the whole reserve portfolio.
  • Fact Finance’s 2026-08-31 report states R$378,063,743 tokens, R$380,315,618.44 reserves and 100.60% coverage.
  • That report omits custodian names and labels an Ethereum contract URL as Base, so it is not a complete custody or cross-chain reconciliation.
  • Primary 1:1 issuance/redemption is for approved Crown users; the issuer disclaims responsibility for secondary-market deviations.
  • Instant T+0 mint/redemption depends on limits and liquidity; standard redemption targets T+1 to T+3 and may charge a processing fee whose amount is not fixed in the terms.
  • Reserve income is not a BRLV holder right; rewards use a separate program and eligibility.
  • Base inherits address blocking from BRLY; Ethereum Bridged BRLV has explicit block/unblock roles. Both chain representations have privileged mint, burn, pause and upgrade paths.
  • BRLV is not a bank deposit and has no FGC deposit insurance.
  • Enforcement rights cover reserve assets and require proof/onboarding procedures; they exclude Crown equity, IP and other assets.

Frequently asked questions

Is one BRLV legally redeemable for one real?

For an approved Crown user, the terms provide primary 1:1 redemption subject to procedures, settlement timing and applicable fees. Secondary-market prices can diverge.

Who issues BRLV?

Crown BR issues for Brazilian tax residents and Crown (BVI) Ltd. for nonresidents; Crown BR remains custodian and intermediary in both cases.

What backs BRLV?

Reserves include segregated cash and eligible BRL instruments such as LFTs and Tesouro Selic. The terms define those instruments by direct or indirect exposure of at least 95% to Brazilian sovereign credit; that definition should not be recast as a fresh measurement of the whole reserve portfolio.

Who holds the reserves?

Krona Two S.à.r.l. is the guarantor/SPV; the terms name Banco Genial as reserve custodian and Vórtx as security agent, although the attestation table leaves institutions blank.

Can any wallet redeem?

The public terms say no contract arises with an unapproved user. Onboarding, good standing, identity, wallet and proof requirements matter.

Does BRLV pay the yield from government bonds?

No direct right. Reserve income stays in the structure; qualifying rewards are governed by a separate program.

Can Crown freeze or burn BRLV?

Privileged roles can pause transfers and burn named balances; BRLV also rejects addresses blocked by BRLY. Upgrade holders can replace logic.

Is the reserve report a complete audit?

It is point-in-time third-party reserve evidence. It omits custodian names and mislabels an Ethereum address as Base, so it does not fully reconcile custody, liens and chains.
