Cysic is a compute-focused Layer-1 network and marketplace with the native CYS token. Official documentation describes a modular stack spanning hardware, CometBFT-based Proof-of-Compute consensus, EVM-compatible execution, zero-knowledge proving, and AI workloads. The current website presents Cysic Network and Cysic hardware as live, but labels Cysic AI and digital-compute products as coming soon; those roadmap items should not be treated as deployed solely on the basis of marketing materials.
What problem does Cysic solve?
Cysic targets fragmented and centralized access to specialized computing resources. Zero-knowledge proof generation and AI workloads can require costly GPUs, ASICs, or other accelerators, while users need evidence that outsourced work was completed correctly. The project proposes an open coordination and settlement layer where task requesters can submit jobs and independent providers can compete to execute them. How does Cysic work?
For a ZK task, Cysic’s documentation says a requester specifies requirements, a deadline, and a maximum bid; eligible compute providers bid, selected providers execute the work, and verifiers check the submitted results before rewards are distributed and the process is recorded on Cysic Network. The project says both token stake and pledged computation contribute to its CometBFT-based Proof-of-Compute consensus.
